Description
Sanhua FDF Series: Features and Details
1. Core Function and Construction
-
Function: Controls the flow of refrigerant by acting as an electrically operated switch (ON/OFF).3
-
Operating Type: Available as Direct-Operated (for small orifice/flow) or Pilot-Operated (for larger flow).
-
Normal Position: Primarily available as Normally Closed (NC), meaning the valve is closed when the coil is de-energized.5 Normally Open (NO) models (e.g., FDF2AK series) are also available.
-
Applications: Widely used in:
-
Refrigerating and Freezing Systems (e.g., Ice Makers, Freezers).
-
Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps (for line isolation and defrost cycles).
-
Installation on Liquid, Suction, and Discharge lines (must match the model specifications).
-
2. Technical Specifications
-
Refrigerant Compatibility: Applicable for all common HCFC and HFC refrigerants (R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R507A, etc.).
-
Forward Compatibility: Also compatible with newer HFOs (A2L, A2) and Hydrocarbons (A3) such as R290 and R32 (often specified on request or in newer FDF-G series)
-
-
Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP): High rating, typically up to 4.5MPa 45bar.
-
Medium Temperature (TS): Wide range, typically -30C to +120C.
-
Ambient Temperature: Typically -30C to +50C.
-
Connections: Available with various connection sizes (e.g., 1/4” to 5/8”) via solder (ODF) or flare connections.
-
Coils: Available in common AC and DC voltages (24V, 110V, 220V, etc.).
3. Coil and Electrical Features
-
Energy Efficiency: Coils are designed for low energy consumption.
-
Reliability: Coils are reliable and often have certifications like UL and declaration according to PED/LVD.
-
Insulation: High insulation class (e.g., Class B).
-
Installation: Recommended installation is with the coil upwards, with a pm 15 tolerance versus the vertical axis.
