1. Core Function and Construction

• Function: Ensures the correct and single direction of flow for the refrigerant, automatically closing to prevent backflow when pressure reverses.

• Design Type: Piston Type Check Valve.

  • Mechanism: The piston moves within a cylinder, lifted by forward flow pressure and reseated by a spring (or reverse pressure) to seal.

• Damping: Equipped with a damping spring.

  • Benefit: Allows the valve to be installed in various positions, including those with significant pressure pulses (like discharge lines), ensuring stable operation without flutter or noise.

• Body Shapes: Available in two main body types for installation flexibility:

  • Straight-Way Valve (S-shape): For in-line installations.

  • L-Shape Valve (Angle shape): For installations requiring a 90 degree change in piping direction.

  • Application: Specifically applicable to compressor discharge pipes (hot gas lines) in single or multi-compressor systems where high backpressure and pressure pulses are common (Min. OPD is higher, e.g., 15 kPa or 30 kPa).

• Connections: Available with ODF (solder) connections in a wide range of sizes (e.g., 1/4” up to 1-5/8”).
