The oil is formulated to provide excellent lubrication and stability, particularly in systems using chlorine-free refrigerants.
- Synthetic POE Blend: It is a 100% synthetic Polyol Ester blend, offering superior chemical and thermal stability compared to mineral oils.
- Refrigerant Compatibility: It is designed for excellent miscibility with HFC (Hydrofluorocarbon) refrigerants like R134a, R404A, R407C, R507A, and can also be used with HCFCs.
- Compressor Application: Primarily used in Bitzer reciprocating (piston) compressors and is mandatory for the initial charge of certain compressor models.
- Optimized Performance:
- Ensures optimum oil return to the compressor.
- Reduces oil carryover, which improves heat transfer efficiency in the system.
- Lubricity: Features excellent lubrication characteristics and specific wear protection additives to increase the compressor’s lifespan.
- Handling Properties: It is reported to be less hygroscopic (less prone to water absorption) than some other POE-based oils, which is a significant advantage, though all POE oils require minimal contact with air when filling a system.
- Specific Application: Can be used on the $\text{CO}_2$ side of $\text{NH}_3-\text{CO}_2$ cascade refrigeration systems.
- Compatibility: Compatible with elastomers, paints, plastics, and other POE-based oils. It is not designed for ammonia systems.
