Key Features of Sanhua SHF Series

The SHF series is a mature, widely used component designed specifically for reversing the cycle in heat pump applications:

• Core Function: Cycle Reversal: Its primary feature is the ability to instantly switch the direction of refrigerant flow, allowing an air conditioner or refrigeration unit to function as a heat pump (i.e., switching between heating and cooling).

• Wide Application Range: Covers a large capacity range, suitable for central, unitary, and room air conditioners, with models ranging from approximately 1 to 120 cold tons.

• High Reliability: The design features a solder connection between the pilot tube and the main valve, which increases the overall reliability and minimizes the probability of leakage.

• Energy Efficiency (Bi-Stable Coil): Many models, particularly the SHF(L) series, are available with bi-stable coils (latching solenoid coils), which provide nearly zero energy consumption once the valve has switched position. Power is only required momentarily to move the spool.

• Excellent Anti-Vibration Performance: The pilot valve is often securely fastened to the main valve (sometimes by screws or welding), providing good anti-vibration performance and stability against system abnormal recoil.
