1. Core Function and Construction

• Function: Monitors refrigerant pressure and opens/closes an electrical circuit when the pressure reaches a factory-preset limit.

• Mechanism: Uses a Snap-action Disk (bimetal or stainless steel) that flips at a specific pressure to actuate the electrical contacts.

• Design: Compact, lightweight, and hermetically sealed to prevent moisture ingress.

• Reset Types:

  • Automatic Reset: Resets itself when pressure returns to the normal range.

  • Manual Reset: Features a reset button on the top; the system remains off until a technician manually resets it.
